Xoetrope Ltd. has ceased trading, and as a consequence the XUI project is now frozen.

As lead developer and the major contributor to XUI I will be continuing work on the project under the banner of the Aria framework which is also available on SourceForge.

The new project includes most of what was in the XUI framework but with some repackaging and cleanup. A conversion tool is available for those wishing to move to the new infrastructure. The new project also includes all the XUI Pro functionality that was previously offered under commercial licenses. The new project uses a GPL/LGPL license.

Some packages from XUI have been deprecated. In particular the little used and under developed routes and services facilities are dropped in favour of third party support for remoting. A major aspect of this change is the new and enhanced support for POJOs and the Spring framework.

The new project already contains some significant enhancements and some important contributions are in the wings. Not all the documentation is yet available so this XUI site will remain in place until the migration is complete.
