Xoetrope∞ (pronounced Zo'i'trope) is the company behind XUI and many of the lead developers on XUI work for Xoetrope. Xoetrope also provides paid support for XUI, along with a development service for projects using XUI.

The name Xoetrope derives from zoetrope∞ (latin: the wheel of life), an early optical device that took a series of static images and through a simple device gave a sense of animation. Xoetrope, take XML and also make it into something more visually appealing in the form of rich client user interfaces - hence the X in Xoetrope.
