Eclipse Plugins

This page documents some of the features of XUI's Kalidescope Plugin for Eclipse 3.2

Note: The settings described should be automatically configured by the project wizard but the plugin is not capable of doing this yet. Assistance from Eclipse developers familiar with programmatically manipulating project settings would be most welcome.

Installing the plugin

1. Download the plugin for SourceForge∞.
2. Unzip the folder so that the jars are extracted to the Eclipse plugin folder
3. Start Eclipse
4. Check that the File|New|Other... dialog contains the XUI Project and XUI Page wizards

Running a project
To run a new XUI project within Eclipse

1. Select the project in the Kalideoscope or Java perspectives
2. Right click and choose properties
3. On the Java Build Path add the pages, resources and lang folders
4. 
5. On the Libraries tab add the XUI jars

Debug a project

1. Select the project or the .project file in the Kalideoscope perspective
2. right click and choose Debug As...
3. Click the New button within dialog
4. Choose the main class
