The In-Situ editor for each component also provides the same functionality. By double clicking on a component in a page the editor is shown with a drop-down of strings contained in the current language and the same auto-complete feature for matching of entered strings. A new string will be set as the displayed text for the component and added to the current language along with context information added to the 'Hints' language. The context information consists of the component name and the component type.
If the user attempts to set the text on the component using a string already contained within the language, a dialog appears asking the user if they would like to add the duplicate string. If the user selects 'Yes', the string will be added to the language, otherwise the text is set for the component but the string is not added to the language.

Additions:
The image below show the Property editor for an Button component. The 'Content' field provides a drop-down of strings that are contained within the current language. The drop-down also provides auto-completion so any strings within the language matching the currently entered string are shown.

In-Situ Translation

In-Situ translation allows the user to add new strings to a language or use existing strings from a language while setting the text for a component in the editor.
