Live Translate

XuiPro's live translation feature allows the user to convert strings used in an application to another language in real time by running the application and selecting text components. The user can switch between live translation and standard modes in real-time to allow navigation through the application.

A user can run in Live Translation mode by selecting XUI|Localisation|Run live translation from the toolbar in Netbeans or XuiPro|Live Translate from the toolbar in Eclipse.

Running in live translation mode

When running in Live Translation mode, an extra window appears in the upper right of the running application. This window provides options for switching live translation on and off to allow normal usage of the application. It also provides drop down lists for selecting the currently used language and the language you would like to add the translation string to.

If you have selected a string and then change the current language, that language is searched for the selected string and any matches found are displayed in the translation window.

On selecting a text component, a window appears showing matches for the string and the hints associated with each match. Selecting one of the matches will show the different hints in the hints window. The user can enter a new string in the translation window, select the translation language in the options window, then click 'OK' to add the string to the that language.

To switch to normal application mode just select the 'Off' radio button in the options window under 'Translation Pane'. This allows all the features of the application to be used normally.
