This short description shows how to create a simple survey using Survey Script Editor.
Creating question groups
To create a new group:
- click on groups button in a toolbar.
- click on add new group button and enter the name for the group of questions (i.e. "personal details").
- from the next group combo box select the next group of questions to be shown in a survey.

Adding questions
Editor supports three types of questions:
- mutually exclusive.
- multiple choice.
- free text, where answers are being typed (i.e. forename, surname, address ).
To add new question:
- click on the questions button in a toolbar.
- from the group combo box in a toolbar select the group you want to add new question to.
- click on add question button in a toolbar.
- enter the question text (i.e. "Please give your details...") and select question type.
Adding question options
- click on the questions button in a toolbar
- in the questions tab click on the add option button in bottom toolbar.
- enter option text
Adding rules and conditions
Condition is a question with certain answers, Rule is a set of conditions.
Rules can be "attached" to groups and lead to other groups when answers given by user match the answers contained in a rule.
(i.e. answering "married" in a question about "marital status" can lead to questions about wife/husband).
To add new rule:
- click on the editor button in a toolbar
- right click on the group you want to attach new rule to, and select add new rule option from the popup menu.
- drag questions, that you want to specify answers to, on the new rule.
- right-click on the dragged question, select show edit panel from the popup menu and specify the answers.
- from the popup menu select change target option and specify group of questions which the rule will lead to.
