There is a large amount of documentation for XUI, ranging from a PDF manual which you can download, print out or browse as html to the XUI wiki.

Manuals

The XUI User Guide comes as a PDF manual and contains in depth information about XUI, its history and how it is intended to be used. The manual is intended as a companion to the XUI editor, Kalideoscope.

Reference Documentation

Detailed Javadoc documentation is available in the API Reference, covering all the classes belonging to XUI and XUI Pro.

Tutorials

There are a number of tutorials designed to give you a step by step introduction to using and developing see XUI applications. Please see the tutotials page for an overview.

Videos

To supplement the tutorials and print documentation we have a range of videos showing both applications in action and also the editing steps used to construct various features of XUI applications. See the videos page for more details.

Samples

Numerous examples for XUI exist, ranging from simple programming samples to complete working examples. Many of these examples are available with complete source code. For more information see the demos page.

Screenshots

Screenshots are a good way to see what XUI is capable of and our screenshot gallery has a wide range of examples. Some of these examples are even available with complete source code and many have featured in XUI articles.

Wiki

The XUI Wiki is a rich source of information about all aspects of XUI. The wiki evolves along with XUI and has some of the most up-to-date information about XUI. In many cases the documentation in the wiki goes beyond the documentation included in the sources listed above and it is a good place to find specific coding examples and information about new features. See the wiki home page for a starting point.
